Students Transferring from U of A Main Campus

If you’re a student enrolled in U of A’s main campus and wish to enroll in Arizona Online, you must complete a campus change request, to be submitted no later than 10 working days before the start of the semester or session.

It’s a good idea to talk with an academic advisor before making this decision, as well as consider the following policies and requirements:

• While becoming a fully online student may increase flexibility regarding scheduled times to attend class and complete coursework, the time commitment and rigor are equivalent. 
• Arizona Online courses are offered in accelerated 7.5-week sessions. This format is more intensive than a standard semester. 
• Arizona Online students can take up to a maximum of 9 units in a 7.5-week session. 
• First-year students can take up to 11 units in the first semester. 
• Before switching to Arizona Online, students should ensure that they have access to the required technology to be successful. 
• Tuition rates differ. Arizona Online tuition is charged on a per-credit basis versus the residency-based cost of attending the main campus. Students should review cost and financial aid options[link to new Cost & Aid page] to determine the best fit. 
• The University of Arizona Honors College is not available for students in Arizona Online.
