Gabriel Orozco Leal

Gabriel Orozco-Leal is the Operations Coordinator for the University of Arizona Nogales. He provides personalized coaching and advising focused on academic success, career development, and student empowerment. He is especially passionate about mentoring student veterans, first-generation college students, and individuals navigating major life transitions. A U.S. Army veteran and former Staff Sergeant, Gabriel served a combat tour in Afghanistan, bringing a mission-driven mindset, leadership experience, and resilience to his role in higher education. Outside the university, Gabriel enjoys hiking and traveling—activities that reflect his love of exploration, personal growth, and connection with the world around him.
