Samuel Zamora

Hi! My name is Samuel Zamora, and I’m honored to serve as your Administrative Vice President for ASUA-NY. I grew up in the desert town of Imperial, California, and that environment shaped my lifelong passion for plants, agriculture, and sustainable living. I’m currently studying Sustainable Plant Systems, and I love exploring how we can use native plants and smart farming techniques to protect our environment while helping communities thrive.
I joined ASUA-NY because I know firsthand how important it is for online and distance learners to feel connected, heard, and supported. My goal is to strengthen communication between students and the university, advocate for resources that make a real difference, and create opportunities for all Wildcats—no matter where they live—to take part in shaping our community.
When I’m not studying or working, you can usually find me outside tending plants, learning about new agricultural innovations, or enjoying good food with friends and family. I believe that with the right mix of knowledge, collaboration, and passion, we can grow a better future—both for our university and the world around us.
